Rehana Company for Food Industries intends to open a new production line for vegetable ghee, during the first quarter of this year.
Mohamed Gamal, commercial director of Rehana Food Industries, said that the company decided to pump new investments in the production of ghee, as the company aims to enter the field of vegetable ghee production and expand it in the coming period.
He added that the company started marketing the new product with its clients in foreign markets, to market the ghee product with the start of the product being put on the market.
The company’s production capacity of all products was estimated at about 8,000 tonnes per month, and it seeks to increase it to 10,000 tonnes after its expansions to meet the needs of the local market and export. The company’s products reach about 25 markets around the world, mostly in Europe, the Gulf and America, and it seeks to expand in Africa.
He explained that the company is currently working on adding three new production lines and plans to increase other production lines before the end of this year.
He pointed out that his company exports only 5% of its production, while the rest of its production is produced locally. The company plans to increase the export percentage before the end of 2022.
The company was established in 1997 and specialized in trading, packaging, distribution, manufacturing, and exporting. In 2018, Rehana’s products began to invade the market with basic consumer products that they use on a daily basis, including rice, sugar, flour, cereals, spices, oils, and vinegar.
